With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Karim has developed a deep expertise in treating a wide range of hematologic disorders. His special interests include lung cancer, gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, breast cancer, chronic leukemia, and multiple myeloma. He is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center and Research Medical Center, further expanding his capacity to provide comprehensive cancer care to patients in the region.

Dr. Karim began his medical education at Dow Medical College in Pakistan, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery Degree in 2001. He then relocated to the United States, completing his residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital from 2002 to 2005. Dr. Karim’s advanced oncology training took place under the guidance of world-renowned hematologists and oncologists at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. His fellowship training in geriatric medicine equips him with unique insights into the treatment of older patients facing cancer diagnoses.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Karim is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. Additionally, he is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Physicians.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Karim has a robust research background and has published numerous professional papers. He previously served as an assistant professor of hematology/oncology at Hofstra University School of Medicine and directed the Breast Cancer Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Karim has also organized and presented at multiple international cancer meetings, including the National Comprehensive Cancer Network – Middle East and North Africa (NCCN-MENA) conference.
