He attained his MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Texas. Dr. Newman is a well known figure in the community and has appeared on WBAP talk radio and Channel 8 WFAA Good Morning Texas regarding preventive cardiovascular topics. His impressive career includes practicing medicine, and teaching as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the The University of Texas School of Nursing.
