On Friday April 9, 2010, Dr. Chris M. Allen passed away at the tender age of 60. For 27 years, Dr. Allen had provided outstanding care from Shadyside Medical Group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine and graduated Cum Laude in 1975. Dr. Allen was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was the recipient of the Memorial Prize and the Brinton Prize for most outstanding medical student. It was here that he met future dermatologist and wife to be, Rebecca J. Caserio. Allen dedicated his life to his patients, and was known by all for his compassionate bedside manner, and lighthearted humor. In his personal time, Dr. Allen was a golf enthusiast, and and a passionate collector of Scotty Cameron putters. As a certified golf club maker, Dr. Allen held three patents for golf shaft technology.
