Wekesa King-Asia, MD, began his 17 year long career in medicine after he graduated from Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago (UTESA), Escuela de Medicina in 1990. Upon achieving his degree, Dr. King-Asia completed both his internship and residency at Long Island College Hospital. He attributes his success to patients teaching him to be patient. King-Asia has been teaching at SUNY Health and Science Center at Brooklyn College of Medicine, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine, also in Brooklyn, New York, since 1994. Also, he continues to practice internal medicine at Long Island College Hospital.
