Zihe Shan, MD, obtained his medical degree in 1983 from Guangzhou Medical College, in China. He then moved on to the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where in 1994 he had his internship, and in 1997 completed his residency. Since starting his career, Dr. Shan has become a member of the American Association Chinese Physician, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians. Among his many accomplishments is publishing articles on hypertension, diabetes, and kidney disease. His success, he believes comes through education, love of work, career, and passion for helping his patients. Today, Dr. Shan is practicing internal medicine at the Janlian Medical Group in Brooklyn, New York.
