Aaron M. Blum, MD, FAAP graduated from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in 1967. After completing his internship and residency at the prestegious New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center, Dr. Blum continued his career to eventually serve as the Director of Pediatrics for both Vassar Brothers Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital. During his years at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Blum took on the prominent task of establishing the hospital's first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Blum has practiced in Dutchess County for over 40 years and is a noteable figure in the research and prevention of Type II Diabetes and obesity in children and adolescents. Dr. Blum is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the President of the Mid Hudson Pediatric Society.
