A board-certified pediatric nephrologist, Dr. Constantinescu is the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, seeing patients in the southeast Florida satellite offices located in Hollywood, Weston, Miramar, and Boca Raton. As such, he treats a wide range of kidney diseases, including proteinuria, hematuria, nephrotic syndrome, kidney stones, renal insufficiency, inflammatory diseases affecting the kidneys, hypertension, and kidney transplant recipients.

I like to see kids bounce back from their illness quickly. The recognition I get from my patients is one of my greatest accomplishments” expressed the doctor.
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is one of the region’s leading pediatric hospitals, offering a comprehensive scope of healthcare services and programs in a child-friendly atmosphere. A native of Romania, Dr. Constantinescu graduated with his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara in 1985. After relocating to the United States, he completed internship in pediatrics at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Flushing, NY in 1990, and residency at the Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY in 1992. He completed his fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY in 1995.
An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in pediatric nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Professionally, Dr. Constantinescu is an active member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, the American Society of Nephrology, the Florida Society of Nephrology, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, the American Society of Hypertension and the American Heart Association Council for High Blood Pressure Research.
