John S. Place, MD, received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1965. He then went to complete his internship at Milwaukee County General Hospital in 1966, a residency at Marquette Hospital College of Medicine in 1970, and until 1972 was the Orthopedic Surgeon and Chief of Department of Surgery in the U.S. Army at Irwin Army Hospital. Since beginning his impressive career, Dr. Place has become a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, the International Society of Arthroscopy, the Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine and the Western Orthopedic Association. Today, Place practices orthopaedic surgery at Creekside Orthopedics, in Yakima, Washington.
