John J. Cogan, MD, received his medical degree in 1973 from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine. He then went to University of Oregon Health Science Center where he completed his internship in 1974 and residency in 1976. Dr. Cogans fellowship was completed at University of California at San Francisco in 1978. Since beginning his career, Cogan has become a member of the American Society of Cardiovascular Interventionalists, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Heart Association, the Hawaii Heart Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventionalists. Today Dr. Cogan is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, John Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii and practices cardiology at John J. Cogan, MD Inc., in Honolulu, Hawaii.
