Elaine S. Gould, MD, obtained her medical degree in 1980 from State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine. After receiving her degree, she attended Stony Brook University Hospital in New York for her residency and Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in New York for her fellowship. Her close to three decades of medical career has seen numerous achievements including her present stint as President of Long Island Radiology Society; memberships in societies such as the American College of Radiology, International Skeletal Society, Society of Skeletal Radiology; co-authored the Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Hip After Displaced Femoral Neck Fractures in the Clinical Orthopaedics & Related Research in 1994 and Role of routine percutaneous hip aspirations prior to prosthesis revision in the Skeletal Radiology journal in 1990. Today, Dr. Gould practices radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital; she also works as Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
