CBC with DIFF?
The incidences of low anion gap are very rare, and, in this case, a repeat analysis is definitely needed. However, if after a repeat analysis the anion gap is still law, the conditions associated with low anion gap are decreased albumin level in the blood, decreased sodium level in the blood, bromide ingestion, or Multiple Myeloma. All of these conditions require further investigation to be able to confirm or rule it out. Low Hematocrit, Low MCHC, and Low Erythrocytes (Red Blood Cells), all are consistent with Anemias, irrespective of cause, and chronic fatigue could be attributed to that. The combination of Adderall (a central nervous system stimulant), Zoloft (SSRI antidepressant), and Gabapentin (antineuralgic), contributes also to migraine headache and might lead to serotonin syndrome. What can cause an elevated PSA?
An elevated PSA level can be a sign of prostate pathology. Conditions that contribute to PSA elevation include, but are not limited to, Enlarged Prostate, Infection or inflammation of the prostate gland, urinary tract infection, or prostate cancer. If this is the first time you received an elevated PSA level, the suggestion is to repeat the test in a 2 to 3 weeks period. During this period discuss with your health care provider to put you on an antibiotic to treat Prostatitis. At least 48 hours before having the PSA test repeated avoid having sexual activity since semen released during sexual activity contributes to the periodical elevation of PSA level. If this is not the first time you received an elevated PSA level, a study showed that there is an annual change of PSA level among men. Patients with benign enlarged prostate (BPH) had a gradual increase in PSA level and those with prostatic cancer had an exponential increase. In general, an annual increased rate of PSA of 0.75mcg/L/year would identify men who would benefit from further diagnostic studies. READ MORE

My platelet count showed below the normal range specified in the report, but I don’t feel any symptoms. Why could this be?
It all depends on how far your Platelet Count is below the Laboratory normal range. Decreased platelet count (a condition known as Thrombocytopenia) could be a result of many causes ranging from hereditary thrombocytopenia to bone marrow depression. Only your primary care physician can evaluate your condition based on your history, a physical examination, and any bleeding symptoms. In general, there is a little tendency to bleed until the platelet count falls below 20,000 to 50,000/mm3. Bleeding due to low platelet counts typically presents as petechiae, epistaxis, and gingival bleeding. READ MORE
Home diabetes testing device and lab report show different results. What is more accurate?
Home blood glucose testing, measures glucose in a drop of whole blood, while the clinical laboratory measures glucose in the serum. Serum, to put it simply, is the fluid of the blood minus the red blood cells. Under well controlled circumstances, whole blood glucose is usually higher than serum glucose about 5 to 10 %. As I stated, under well controlled circumstances, means that the home blood glucose testing meter must be well calibrated with two points glucose standards and the readings of those standards must be within the mean and standard deviation of the stated values. The clinical laboratory, on the other hand, always perform calibration and runs quality control materials on a regular basis as mandated by the accrediting agents. In general, home blood glucose testing is simply "Glucose Monitoring", which provide a close enough picture of the patient's diabetes status. I hope this provides a simple answer to your question.
