Dr. Counelis is an excellent listener; he spent ample time to show me all aspects of my spinal surgery and answered my questions in a way that built confidence. Dr. Cournelis is also an excellent surgeon who applied the medical theories and approaches to my surgery that resulted in remarkably great and sustained results. It is without hesitation that I recommend a consultation with Dr. Cournelis if you need of an accomplished and likable neurosurgeon.

If you are to rate a doctor, with five stars being the best, in my book, Dr. George Counelis would accrue far more than five stars. It wasn't my lucky day when taken by ambulance to John Muir Hospital and being diagnosed with a subdural hematoma. However, learning that Dr. Counelis would be the physician who would perform my craniotomy proved to be VERY lucky. Dr. Counelis and his entire staff provided support to myself and my family through the entire situation. Numerous plaques in his office indicate that he has received the “TOP DOCTOR” award. They have been justly earned and well-deserved!
