  • Can you get paralyzed from a chiropractor?

No, there is no case I've ever heard of such a thing happening. Chiropractors are trained to apply specific adjustment forces to specific vertebrae in a specific way to alleviate subluxations. It has proven over 200 years of practice to be the safest healthcare delivery system in the world which is why chiropractors pay the lowest malpractice insurance rates across the entire healthcare community. • Is it necessary to see a chiropractor 3 times a week?

Every case is different so the answer is that it depends. In most cases, it's necessary to see a patient on a consistent basis for a period of time so as to make lasting changes. The reason is similar to why you wouldn't go to the gym just once a week or month or why you don't just take one antibiotic when you have an infection. Each just as each pill and visit builds upon the last, so it is with the chiropractic adjustment. To retrain the body to hold an adjustment or alignment, visits should be closer together for a period of time whether that is a week, several weeks or even a few months in very stubborn cases. The 2 keys to making lasting changes and for healing are time and opportunity. It's simply the way the body functions in that healing takes time. We create the opportunity by repetition and addressing the cause. READ MORE

  • Do chiropractors offer free consultations?

Some chiropractors do offer free consultations which usually include talking with the doctor about your health concerns to see if chiropractic would be a good fit. It also allows you to get to meet the doctor and staff and see the facility. At our office, we always offer free consultations for those very reasons. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help in treating migraines?

Absolutely! Migraine headaches are what got me into chiropractic as a career. I suffered severe migraines weekly and chiropractic corrected the issue and I've been migraine free for years! READ MORE

  • I am having severe neck pain. What could be the reason?

It sounds like a condition we refer to as torticollis which is easily treated with chiropractic spinal adjustments. When deciding on who to consult with first, always consider the least invasive treatment options first and go from there. Spinal manipulation is non-invasive and will help correct the issue not just cover up the pain. READ MORE

  • Is sciatica pain a lifelong problem?

No, it shouldn't be. However, if you don't address the underlying cause and only treat the pain symptoms it can be. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor correct my limping?

It depends on what is causing the limping. In many cases, joint alignment and muscle activation and inactivation are the cause of improper movement and motion. Doing a functional movement evaluation can help determine if chiropractic may hold the key in your case. READ MORE

  • My mother has developed a problem of shaking hands. What could be the reason behind it?

It's always impossible to say for certain what may be causing a condition such as this without an examination. However, it does sound from your description that it may be caused from a condition such as Parkinson's Syndrome as this syndrome can cause intention tremors and shaking. READ MORE

  • Why is there pain in my neck and head every morning?

If you are waking up with pain the cause is likely your sleeping posture or position or sleeping on the wrong type of pillow for your body type. READ MORE

  • I have a frozen shoulder. What should I do?

"Frozen Shoulder" syndrome is really a complex disorder affecting the entire shoulder complex as well as the spine and rib cage. There is no quick fix but there is hope. The technical term is called "Adhesive Capsulitis" and occurs following long term shoulder dysfunction that was untreated or not treated properly. Deep tissue laser, kinseio taping, movement based rehabilitation, spinal and shoulder manipulation and alignment, IASTM soft tissue treatments, and muscle energy technique manual therapy all have been helpful in treating frozen shoulder. The key is getting to the cause rather than relying on injections and pills to get by. READ MORE

  • I am suffering from anterior tibial tendinitis. Should I quit my job?

Anterior tibial pain is better known as "shin splints" and causes pain with standing, balancing and with locomotion. There's always a cause as the anterior tibial tendinitis is not the problem, only the symptom. Always look above and below that area at the joints to see if there is a dysfunctional movement pattern or alignment issue. A simple set of orthotics for the shoes may help. Also soft tissue IASTM treatments, laser therapy, kinesio tape and movement retraining of the joints often helps quickly and easily. READ MORE

  • What causes slipping rib?

It's difficult to determine the exact cause without a complete examination and a movement analysis. Ribs don't necessarily "slip" but they do become misaligned for various reasons. Ribs have muscles, fascia and cartilage attached to them and articulate both in the front at the sternum and in the back at the spinal vertebrae. Most often it is due to alignment issues at either location as well as muscular imbalances in the area. READ MORE
