Get to know Family Practitioner Dr. Tess Lang, who serves the population of Seattle, Washington. Dr. Lang graduated with her undergraduate degree with a Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology with the University of Washington in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology. She then completed her Medical Degree from the University of California, San Francisco – School of Medicine in 2012, giving her over 7 years of experience in her field. While working on obtaining her Medical Degree, she completed her a research fellowship with the University of California, San Francisco, followed by an educational fellowship with the Professionalism Learning Community with the University of California, San Francisco. She also completed her residency with the Valley Medical Center. Following medical school, she studied food security and collaborated with other medical providers on efforts to creatively find ways to improve medical professionalism at the personal, professional, and health systems level. Dr. Lang currently practices with Northgate Medical Center. To stay up to date in her field she remains a professional member of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Family medicine is the medical specialty which provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family. It is a specialty in breadth that integrates the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system and every disease entity. Dr. Lang attributes her professional success to treating patients like she would her family.
