Get to know Internist Dr. Walid Elkhalili, who serves patients in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Dr. Elkhalili is an attentive and trusted internist & aesthetic physician serving Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas at Apex Medical Professionals.

There, he works in collaboration with a physician to assess and address the needs and conditions of his patients, with fluency in English, Spanish, and Arabic. He places a high priority on preventive care, wellness strategies, and health education. 

At Apex Medical Professionals, the team brings over 30 years of combined experience in diagnosing, testing, and treating the Fair Lawn, New Jersey community for various internal health issues and aesthetic procedures. All testing and services are done in the lab-equipped office with a friendly staff and state-of-the-art equipment, allowing for a complete and comprehensive approach to health care services that deliver the most satisfying patient experience with the highest-quality results. Some of the in-office procedures include sleep studies, retinal screening, blood pressure monitoring, glucose monitoring, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitoring, hearing tests, and allergy tests. Nebulizer treatments are also available, and there is a wide array of immunizations for patients 18 and older.

Looking forward to leading patients down the path of aesthetics and wellness, he is currently affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center, St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital, and The Valley Hospital.

At the start of his medical career, Dr. Elkhalili earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in the Caribbean. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College before gaining certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

With a background in research, Dr. Elkhalili frequently publishes in journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Honored as a Doctor of Excellence by the Leading Physicians of the World organization, Dr. Elkhalili attributes his success to hard work, dedication, his community, and caring for patients.
