He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College before gaining certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
With a background in research, Dr. Elkhalili frequently publishes in journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
