Get to know Naturopathic Physician Dr. Rhian M. Young, who serves patients in Bothell, Washington.

Dr. Young is a naturopathic physician who has over 17 years of experience with bioidentical hormone therapy, cardiovascular disease treatment & prevention, women’s health, men’s health, weight loss, digestive disorders, menopause, and more. She also has experience assisting cancer patients in treatment optimization by integrating natural foods and supplements to reduce side effects of treatment and help with the healing process.

After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in neuroscience and anatomy, Dr. Young went on to earn her Doctorate in Naturopathy degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. After graduation, she completed a residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America – Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During this time, she was able to see first-hand how integrative medicine works to bring optimum health and healing to the patient. Following her residency, she moved back to the Seattle area and began working in an integrative setting, treating patients from all over the world with issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, chemical dependency, and other addictions.

In 2008, Dr. Young opened Purity Integrative Health & Wellness Center PLLC in Bothell, Washington. She opened her own practice with the hope of using her experiences to treat a wide variety of issues and to facilitate trust and confidence to people who need help and are eager to change for the purpose of making improvements in their lives. 

In order to remain up to date in her field, she maintains professional memberships with the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. 

The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods. Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing process. Naturopathic doctors, like Dr. Young, are educated and trained in accredited naturopathic medical colleges. They diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illness to restore and establish optimal health.

In her personal life, Dr. Young is an avid runner who devotes much of her free time to training for half marathons with her husband and spending time with her four children and their three dogs while enjoying the beauty of the Northwest. She and her family attend Gold Creek Community Church in Mill Creek. She considers God an integral part of her life, both personally and professionally.
