Dr. Michael Drzewiecki is a Doctor of Chiropractic specializing in Functional Neurology. He has a strong passion for helping those who have been “everywhere else” and have seemingly lost hope in their condition. Through the use of groundbreaking clinical neuroscience and outside of the box thinking he has been making huge strides in helping people regain their quality of life. Dr. Mike takes pride in both his clinical and personal skills. He takes the time to understand the patient while building a comprehensive care plan that will address both clinical and personal goals.
Mike was born in Houston,TX but was raised in Grand Blanc, MI for a majority of his life. A strong desire to practice chiropractic medicine with a focus on sport health science had been present since an early age as he admired the health benefits both himself and family received while under chiropractic care. He was an avid hockey player and coach leading to a strong appreciation for biomechanics and functional movement. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Business Administration with the intention to one day open his own private practice.
Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Life University in Marietta, GA. He started his chiropractic career with a focus on sports medicine obtaining his Masters of Science in Sport Health Science and becoming a board certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. However, throughout his journey, he developed a strong passion Functional Neurology while volunteering his time helping those with traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Mike has treated many complex neurological cases from around the world traveling nationally and internationally as a consultant for other physicians on some of their hardest cases. He has earned his Diplomate of The American Chiropractic Neurology Board and is one of the only three with a Fellows in the state of Illinois from the American Board of Brain Injury and Rehabilitation. He has treated numerous professional, semi-professional, college, and high-school athletes and has a great passion for working with athletes. Because of this he is currently spearheading and growing the Sports Performance Enhancement program at NWI.
Outside of studying to better his clinical outcomes, Dr. Mike appreciates the outdoors, physical fitness, spending time with his beautiful wife and dog, and still plays hockey on a weekly basis.
