Dennis Peppas, MD, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is the recognized authority in pediatric urology. He has written and published several book chapters and academic articles relating to pediatric urology; he also reviews pediatric articles in the publications The Journal of Urology and Urology. Dr. Peppas obtained his medical degree in 1983 from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences; he then attended William Beaumont Army Medical Center for his internship, Walter Reed Army Medical Center for his resideny and John Hopkins Hospital to complete fellowship training. Today he is the Chair of the Department of Urology and a Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Peppas also teaches pediatric urology at James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute in Baltimore, and surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
