Zelik I. Frischer, MD, obtained his medical degree in 1960 from the First Leningrad I.P. Pavlov Medical Institute in Russia. He then continued his medical training in other parts of the world, attending Beilinson Medical Center in Israel for his residency and Beth Israel Hospital in New York, United States for his fellowship. Dr. Frischer is a member of the Society of Genital Reconstructive Surgeons, Russian Society of Urology, Society of Urological Oncology, American Urological Association, and American College of Surgeons. Curiosity and love of the field, he says, are instrumental to his success. Today, Frischer practices urology at the Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York; he also works as a Clinical Professor of Urology at the Stony Brook School of Medicine.
