Get to know Dr. Christopher Wright:
Dr. Christopher Wright is a board certified physician specializing in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Wright completed his undergraduate degree at King University in Bristol, Tennessee after which time he went on to attend medical school in Blacksburg, Virginia. It was during that time the true passion and insatiable hunger for advancing the fields of neurology and psychiatry was born. After finishing medical school in 2012 Wright went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic where he began his career as an intensivist in the field of psychiatry.
Dr. Wright has more than 10 years working in the fields of neuropsychiatry, emergency room psychiatry, addiction medicine and high acuity adult/geriatric inpatient psychiatry in both attending physician and medical director roles.
Having been actively engaged in academia, Dr. Wright has served as an associate clinical professor and educator in various capacities to medical, nursing and pharmacy students as well as resident physicians from institutions including the University of Colorado, Colorado Christian University, Cleveland State University, Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Regis University. Moreover, Wright was involved in tactical cognition and de-escalation education from 2012-2016, collaborating with law enforcement agencies such as the Cleveland Police Department, Medina PD and SWAT. This involvement included working alongside law enforcement on clinical crisis intervention teams, providing mental health education and field deployment with SWAT to better address the neuropsychiatric demands of team members in real-time scenarios.
In 2022 Dr. Wright founded The Lumos Clinic which provides education, care and consultation services to those looking for performance optimization in decision-making and control within their personal, work and spiritual life by clinically addressing underlying addiction, mood and cognitive barriers. In 2024 The Lumos Clinic will incorporate “The Lumos Edge”, a new program and treatment plan approach designed by Dr. Wright with a focus on clients with gaming, computer and gambling addictions.
