Stewart A. Lonky, MD, received his medical degree in 1971 from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. Dr. Lonky then attended Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn for his residency; followed by his fellowship at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. His medical career has seen numerous achievements including the publication of his research and studies about internal medicine; and membership in professional societies such as the California Medical Association and American Thoracic Society. Extensive time spent in research and mentoring, he says, are keys to his success. Today, the doctor practices internal medicine at Marina Del Ray Hospital in California; he is also the medical director for various medical product companies, handling the United States Food and Drug Administration regulations and innovative thinking collaboration.
