He then relocated to Peterborough, United Kingdom, north of London, where he served as Senior Medical House Officer in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics for the prestigious Peterborough District Hospital. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island in New York City, New York in 2003.

Recognized for showing dedication, leadership, and excellence in his field, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, which is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the Harris County Medical Association.
