Get to know Pediatric Urologist Dr. Pablo Gomez III, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

Dr. Gomez III, a compassionate and experienced pediatric urologist, serves as the Medical Director of AdventHealth for Children’s Pediatric Urology Robotics Program. Distinguished for his expertise in robotic-assisted urologic surgeries, he is a leading physician and noted researcher in his field. 

At AdventHealth for Children, formerly Florida Hospital for Children, the team of professionals working there believe that children’s urological and gynecological ailments deserve the finest care available using the most effective therapies, treatments, and techniques available. It is one of the few hospitals to offer robotic surgery for pediatric urological conditions, providing young patients with superior outcomes.

The doctor’s medical training began at the elite Universidad del Rosario School of Medicine in Colombia and continued at the University of Miami, where he became a research associate and completed his internship and residency training. Thereafter, he had the honor of serving as a visiting scientist at Harvard University Medical School, where he completed a prestigious clinical fellowship in pediatric urology.

Passionate about providing quality patient care, Dr. Gomez III is board-certified in pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology, whose mission is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, as well as to work with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care. 

Pediatric urology is a surgical subspecialty of medicine dealing with the disorders of children’s genitourinary systems. Pediatric urologists provide care for both boys and girls ranging from birth to early adult age. The most common problems are those involving disorders of urination, reproductive organs, and testes.
