After being named the Most Outstanding Medical Student at the University of Texas where he earned his medical degree, Dr. Higgins went on to complete general surgery and plastic surgery training through Michigan State University. He garnered both regional and national recognition for his research in plastic surgery, which has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
As a member of the Michigan State faculty, he was singled out as the Most Outstanding Resident Faculty Teacher in the surgical department. His advanced surgical training continued at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio where he honed his skills in performing the latest body liposculpture, breast surgery, and facial rejuvenation techniques. He also taught the plastic surgery residents at the Residents’ Clinic.
Impressing both patients and peers, Dr. Higgin’s dedication to excellence and research is seen in his daily practice.
