Does getting a bridge hurt?
There are different kinds of bridges. If you are considering a removable bridge (partial denture), you only need impressions. However, if you want a cemented bridge, the teeth on each side of the missing tooth must be ground down to accept caps, which hold the bridge in place. You need to be numbed in order to grind down the teeth and so you will need to have injections. Some people have some pain when they are administered local injections.
