Should I get implants or partial dentures?
Depends on how healthy and bone stable remaining teeth are and how much jawbone remains for implants. Advise temporary partial and x-ray evaluation to prevent remaining teeth from moving. If you tolerate a partial, fine. It can be replaced with implants if you have bone and the partial would fill the space and keep teeth from moving while you heal. Need a full dental evaluation! How long does it take to get partial dentures after teeth are pulled?
2 ways to accomplish this. One is to extract the teeth and allow the bone to heal before making the partial. The other is to make an immediate partial and insert the appliance at the same visit as the extractions (my personal choice). The partial will act as a bandage during healing and can be relined or remade as healing occurs. The second choice means that you are not without teeth while healing. Much more acceptable if front teeth are involved! READ MORE
