Mark J. Berkowitz, DDS, has a private practice in Morganville, New Jersey. He is a biological and homeopathic dentist, a naturopathic physician incorporating holistic principles into his practice. Can my silver fillings be replaced with white fillings?
Your silver or mercury fillings can’t be replaced with white or composite fillings but they should be done by a dentist trained in the proper protocols of biological dentistry as a member of the IAOMT I would recommend that this be done by someone with a proper training. How often can I use a mouthwash in a day?
It depends on the mouthwash you are using. There are many over the counter alcohol based mouthwash’s that I feel can affect your health if used frequently in a negative fashion. Right off the bat if I mouthwash has alcohol in it this has been shown to be a carcinogen in many studies. Alcohol is a natural drying agent although they kill bacteria they also reduce the amount of saliva which promotes tooth decay and periodontal disease . Broad spectrum mouthwash that are actually recommended by dentists and periodontists like peridex uses chlorhexidine can reduce nitric oxide levels In our mouth’s and systemically and lead to an increase in your blood pressure. However if you use for example baking soda in some water that is alkalizing not harmful and can be used frequently.So in conclusion it depends if the initial mouthwash is beneficial or harmful. Can a cavity spread to the next tooth?

He is always willing to learn new things and is open minded. Always does the right thing for his patients. He embraces new technology.Attending the latest seminars and putting my patients first. I lead a very clean life style eating organic and healthy and exercising regularly avoiding all drugs. Having a wonderfull wife and 3 great children keep me grounded.

I am exceptionally pleased with Dr. Berkowitz and his staff at Accents cosmetic surgery and spa. I elected to have an eye lift to enhance my vision and reduce my perpetual tired look. The procedure was very successful and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering having it done. I also had a facial resurfacing at the same time and am thrilled with the results. The staff at the surgery center was very professional as well as friendly and caring. The follow up care was exceptional.

I had Dr. Berkowitz do my upper and lower lids 10 years ago and loved the results. This month I had the Bellefill filler and am very pleased. The nasolabial folds are filled in making me I think look younger.

Dr. Berkowitz and his staff were awesome. I had a ptosis repair on my left eyelid and was super nervous but when I got to the office on surgery day everyone made me feel at home and I instantly felt calm knowing I was in good hands. Before and after shots were taken by staff and I honestly cant believe how much better my eye looks. My eye was a lifelong battle and I hated taking photos of myself without covering my left eye with my hair but now my selfies are looking better than ever

I previously had a plastic surgeon that I saw for almost 2 years who did my Botox and filler injections. Dr. Mark Berkowitz over exceeded my expectations instantly. His staff was beyond helpful and made me feel like I was family. This was my first visit at the office because I came with a friend who was having work done. Dr. Berkowitz staff made me feel so comfortable that I had Botox and fillers done instantly that same day. They fit me into his hectic schedule which was a major plus for me. Needless to say I will be leaving my previous plastic surgeon of 2 years and will be a faithful client of Dr. Berkowitzs. I am really pleased with my Artefill fillers. It makes me look rested and feel confident. Best of all it dont look like i have had a procedure done.

This hair restoration process was a lot easier than anticipated. All of the recommended procedures in my opinion certainly made the recovery very tolerable especially the ice packs and when washing the hair putting your hand above your head to disperse the water. With all considered I would recommend this treatment for anyone as there was almost no pain associated throughout from start to finish. Thank you Doc and staff.
