Ismail G. H. Peer, MD, FRCP(C) is owner of a large private gastroenterology and internal medicine in Ontario, Canada. Educated in South Africa, he is Board Certified in both the United States and Canada. Dr. Peer specializes in gastrointestinal disorders and endoscopy; a way of exploring the body's systems without being too invasive. He is a pioneer in the field of endoscopy, setting up units at the 4 Windsor Hospitals- I.O.D.E., Grace Hospital, Hotel Dieu and Metropolitan Hospitals in 1972. Currently, he is the Director of the Endoscopic Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital and continues to practice at Hotel Dieu Hospital as well.
