Asha Gopinathan, MD, DA, FRCP(C), began her education in India at Trivandrum Medical College, graduating in 1986. She eventually moved to Canada to complete her residency, and Regional Anesthesia Fellowship at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Gopinathan beleives she has been successful because she comes from a family of physicians; he sister works in the United Kingdom as an Anesthesiologist. When she is not serving the patients of Canada, Gopinathan spends her time teaching. She works as a Clinical Instructor and Advanced Paramedical Trainer at McMaster University.
