Dr. Marvin Werbitt graduated from the prestigious McGill University Dental School in 1971, followed a two year postdoctoral program in periodontics, that he finished at Boston University in 1973. Always looking to learn and do more, Dr. Werbitt became one of the first to specialize in implant dentistry in Canada. In 1985 he traveled to Sweden for a course on the procedure, and has since become an expert in the field. Because of his vast knowledge, Werbitt has had the opportunity to travel across the globe lecturing on implant dentistry, periodontal disease, dental implantology, and regeneration of the teeth’s supporting tissues – the gums and underlying bone. He has also worked at McGill University as an associate clinical professor in periodontics from 1973 to 1975, and was director of the periodontology department at Jewish General Hospital for 12 years. Today he practices in Quebec, where he lives with his wife and two children.
