William K. Evans, MD, FRCP(C), is President of the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Ontario, Canada. He is a world renowned lung cancer expert, with over 250 publications and textbook chapters to his name. His clinical interests include health services research, including the evaluation of PET, and the cost and cost-effectiveness of anti cancer drugs. An international speaker, he has given lectures in Holland, Korea, the US, UK, Italy and Canada on such topics as the surveillance of lung cancer and drug approval processes. With McMaster University, the Juravinski Cancer Centre is one of the world's leaders in cancer care. Dr. Evans is also regional vice president of Cancer Care Ontario, the agency responsible for strengthening cancer services in the province of Ontario. His work in the cancer field has earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Cancer Society.
