Gustavo Jorge Nogareda, MD, works at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre in Alberta, Canada. A frequent contributor to Perspectives in Cardiology journal, he specializes in interventional cardiology and echocardiography. This is the catheter-based treatment of structural diseases of the heart, combined with sonograms.  Originally from Buenos Aires, he received his MD in one of their hospitals before coming to the United States and Canada for his fellowship training.  While at La Plata University, he received the top grade point average during his medical program, then went on to get Best Intern at Columbia University.
