After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Saigon, Vietnam in 1971, Dr. Vo relocated to the United States. There, she completed additional training at the University of California, Los Angeles.

To stay up to date in her field, she remains a professional member of the Fresno Madera Foundation, an organization providing funding for community oral health initiatives and continuing professional education.
