Amer Syed, MD, FACP, works at the Jersey City Medical Center. The Jersey City Medical Center received the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence, the highest honor bestowed for nursing care in the nation, and is the only hospital in its region to achieve such award. Dr. Syed received in 2010 a Citation Award from Jersey City, for being a first responder to the flight crash into the Hudson River. He specializes in internal medicine, specifically cardiology and endocrinology; when not working he practices internal medicine at the Palisades Medical Center, Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center, and St. Michael's Medical Center. Dr. Syed has a great love for his profession and is proud to donate his time to patients in need; in 2010 he went on a medical mission in Haiti.
