Martin Malawer, MD, is the founder and fellowship director of the Washington Musculoskeletal Tumor Center.  The Washington Musculoskeletal Tumor Center received an Award from Stryker Corp., one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, for development of Modular Replacement System.  The Center has performed more than 3,000 tumor operations since 1979, are considered leaders in limb-sparing surgery, and have pioneered many surgical techniques in use at their and other cancer centers.  Aside from his practice, Dr. Malawer is a professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Georgetown and George Washington Universities and has had multiple publications; as well as co-editing a new standard textbook on Orthopedic Oncology.
