Can chiropractors fix scoliosis?
Scoliosis in a young person often corrects itself. To help it along, core exercises, especially isometric (contracting core muscled without moving) can be really helpful to even out the stresses on either side of the spine and help it straighten. Chiropractic can help by getting the spine moving and reduce the load on the curved parts of the spine. In our clinic, we have helped completely correct scoliosis in many young patients. Here is a link to an exercise that can help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNPK91vW9TA&t=39s Thanks for asking! Dr. Michelle DC READ MORE
What can I do to prepare for my adjustment?
No preparation needed for most adjustments. It’s recommended that if you want to get a massage you do it AFTER the adjustment. The reason for this is the muscle tension allows us to use speed instead of force and if you are too relaxed, the chiropractor may need to use more force. You should not experience any pain with an adjustment, just some soreness after as you muscles get back to balance. Enjoy! READ MORE
What would cause middle of the night severe knee pain?
It could be that your knee is unstable and the meniscus is getting caught. It’s common when we rest that our muscles relax and if our ligaments are too loose it can allow for the instability to create pain. An effective knee adjustment by a skilled chiropractor can help the meniscus Kay flat and then some rehab exercises can help prevent the pain at night. READ MORE
