Get to know Interventional Pain Management Physician Dr. Lucien Alexandre, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

Dr. Alexandre is a Florida-based triple board-certified interventional pain management physician in practice at Pain Care Specialists of Florida, serving patients in the Hollywood, Aventura, and Pembroke Pines areas. He specializes in advanced interventional procedures with safety as the number one concern.

With vast academic experience, real-world training, and a professional portfolio at some of the world’s most prestigious medical institutions, he is recognized as one of the premiere experts in the field with a reputation for being a meticulous interventional pain medicine physician with in-depth understanding of the brain, nerves and pain, which he combines with his passion for disorders of the nervous system and methods for pain management.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Alexandre studied neural science at New York University, where he was a research fellow in the Howard Hughes Research program. He then earned both his medical degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD), as well as a Master of Science degree (MS) in Neuroscience from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Subsequently, he completed his neurology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and his fellowship training in pain medicine at the Harvard University Medical School Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, with additional training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston’s Children’s Hospital.

As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in interventional pain management, interventional headache, and neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Continuously advancing his efforts, Dr. Alexandre is an active member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Interventional Headache Society, and the Boston Pain Society (Board of Directors).

Interventional pain management or interventional pain medicine is a medical subspecialty which treats pain with invasive interventions such as facet joint injections, nerve blocks, neuroaugmentation, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, nucleoplasty, endoscopic discectomy, and implantable drug delivery system.

On a more personal note, Dr. Alexandre esides in Broward, Florida and is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Creole.
