Robert Gordon Eddy, MD, FRCP, is a retired family practice physician based out of Ontario, Canada. During his time at work, he served as the Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Family Practice Unit at Brantford General Hospital, also in Ontario. Part of the Brant Community Healthcare System, Brantford General is the area's acute care facility, serving more than 100,000 residents. The Healthcare system is also a teaching facility of the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. As Chief of Staff, Dr. Eddy was in charge of all staff and divisions of the hospital, including divisions that already have specialty-specific chiefs. Though now retired, Dr. Eddy put all of his passion and quality patient care into his career, spanning over 50 years and 70 hour work weeks until age 77.
