Dr. Griffin is a family physician seeing patients at his private practice, Family Practice Of Conyers, in Georgia. He offers a variety of services, including diabetes management, hypertension, workers’ compensation, chronic illnesses, and sports medicine. 

Family Practice Of Conyers merged with LifePoint Hospital, where Dr. Griffin continues to offer primary care services in the east metro area. 

Prior to opening his practice, he earned the position of chief resident and was a member of the teaching faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta.

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Dr. Griffin graduated with his undergraduate degree from Fisk University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in 1986.

Acquiring extensive post-graduating training, he completed two fellowships, faculty development at Morehouse School of Medicine, and a geriatric academic fellowship at East Carolina School of Medicine.

Having been in practice in Rockdale and DeKalb Counties for over 25 years, Dr. Griffin has served as an Associate Medical Director for a hospice and palliative care outpatient unit. He has also devoted his time and expertise providing sports physicals to the DeKalb County School System, where he served as team physician for Stephenson High School. 

His involvement in the DeKalb School System goes beyond practicing medicine: he served on the Parent Advisory Committee and the Blue Ribbon Task Force for the school system.

From 1999-2003, Dr. Griffin served on the board of directors for East Metro IPA in Rockdale County, and the Rockdale Immediate Care Center, where he was medical director. 

Currently, he is an active member of the National Medical Association, the Atlanta Medical Association, and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.  

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Happily married, he and his wife, Pamela, are the proud parents of four wonderful children.
