What do you attribute your success to?

  • I attribute my success to an underlying, pervasive guiding force that has directed and guided me throughout my career and life. In addition, I have had the ongoing support and dedication of mentors who have traveled the path before me. I also have a wonderful family that have served as role models and have provided continued love, kindness and support.

Areas of research

  • I am currently the clinical lead of research at Lutheran Medical Center, and tasked with thedevelopment of research infratructure within the institution. I am interested in how culture, socioeconomic status and health behaviors impacts cardiovascular risk.

    Worked within high risk prison system focusing on

    women's health

    Assisted in the implementation in a new York

    city wide initiatiave to educate youth regarding child

    soldiers this includes helping develop a child

    soldier awareness day and specific projects around

    various factors contributing to child soldiers.

    Traveled internationally with a non for profit/NGO to

    El Salvadorrural community to provide a needs

    assessment as well as training for physicians

    as well as providing formal recommendations on how

    to develop capacity and resources within the rural

    health care system
