What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to an underlying, pervasive guiding force that has directed and guided me throughout my career and life. In addition, I have had the ongoing support and dedication of mentors who have traveled the path before me. I also have a wonderful family that have served as role models and have provided continued love, kindness and support.
Areas of research
I am currently the clinical lead of research at Lutheran Medical Center, and tasked with thedevelopment of research infratructure within the institution. I am interested in how culture, socioeconomic status and health behaviors impacts cardiovascular risk.

Volunteered as outreach worker for homeless

Worked within high risk prison system focusing on
women's health
Assisted in the implementation in a new York
city wide initiatiave to educate youth regarding child
soldiers this includes helping develop a child
soldier awareness day and specific projects around
various factors contributing to child soldiers.
Traveled internationally with a non for profit/NGO to
El Salvadorrural community to provide a needs
assessment as well as training for physicians
as well as providing formal recommendations on how
to develop capacity and resources within the rural
health care system
