William E. Frank, MD, FAAOS, FACS, FRCS(UK), retired in 1994 after working in Central Virginia since 1973.  He currently resides in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.  A senior flight surgeon for the United States Air Force, Dr. Frank spent time at Wilford Hall US Medical Air Force Center, performing hand and spinal surgery and conducting research as well.  At his height in the Air Force, Dr. Frank served as Commander of the 13th Contingency Air Force Hospital in Langley, VA.  Currently, Dr. Frank is still educating himself with post graduate courses, and travels to speak to audiences at invitation or request.
