Neel Desai, MD, has worked at the Eye Institute of West Florida in Largo, Florida since 2008. He remains a staff physician at the Wilmer Eye Institute, an extension of Johns Hopkins Hospital where his fellowship was obtained. Dr. Desai specializes in LASIK, cataract and corneal diseases of the eye, and is only one of 100 physicians in the country noted for performing corneal transplants. The author of book chapters and articles in medical journals, Dr. Desai also works at the Weinstock Laser Eye Center in Largo. He is also the inventor of several eye surgery patents, which are currently pending.
