Jose A. Morfin, MD, FASN, works at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California.  An expert in the treatment of kidney diseases hypertension, and diabetes, Dr. Morfin is also an Associate Clinical Professor at UC Davis's Health Sciences Department.  As the son of Mexican immigrants, Dr. Morfin has a strong connection with Sacramento's Latino community. He served as co-director in the undergraduate organization, Chicanos/Latinos in Health Education (CHE), and won an award for servicing underserved populations.  He also serves on the UC Davis admissions committee, and has helped Latinos earn spots at this prestigious university.
