McGuffin, Jr., MD, FACP, is the President of Renal Associates of Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama.  Dr. McGuffin specializes in the treatment of diabetes and hypertension, with added emphasis in kidney transplantation.  On staff at Jackson Hospital as well, Dr. McGuffin co-authored articles on hypertension and its connection to cardiovascular disease (among many other topics) in the Annals of Internal Medicine. He has been educated at some of America's finest medical schools, including Duke and Harvard University, and was honored by the American College of Physicians in 2000, of which he is a Fellow.
