Get to know Endocrinologist Dr. Chet S. Monder, who serves patients in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Monder is a board-certified and fellowship-trained endocrinologist diagnosing and treating hormone problems and the complications that arise from them. With a vision and a goal to become a leader in the Valley of the Sun, he established Arizona Endocrinology Center in June of 1990. 

Arizona Endocrinology Center offers the latest technology to provide patients with today’s best medicine. The practice’s dedicated team of healthcare professionals and staff provide comprehensive treatments for conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, cholesterol disorders, hormone imbalances, testosterone deficiency, and others. They aim to improve the quality of life for their patients. 

After finishing his training at Punjab University – Chandigarh and Patliputra Medical College at Dhanbad, India in 1980, Dr. Monder relocated to the United States to further his training. He completed his residency at Prince George General Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland and Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania. From there, he went on to complete his fellowship in endocrinology (specializing in metabolic bone disease) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

The doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine, which is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Research and consulting work for pharmaceutical companies has been a way for Dr. Monder to be an innovator. He has lectured extensively in the community, aided fellow physicians, and became an Associate Professor at Midwestern University. He has also held prestigious positions within various organizations, including President of the Arizona Sikh Medical Association and the Arizona Physicians of Indian Origin. 

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders, among others. 

Recognized as an expert in his field, Dr. Monder has been awarded for his excellence as Top Doctor by PHOENIX magazine multiple times. He has also been featured in The Leading Physicians of the World magazine for 2012-2013.

Outside of the office, he enjoys golfing and traveling.
