Husam Nawas, MD, works at the St. Louis Orthopedic Institute in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Nawas is a fellowship trained sports medicine surgeon, who, under the direction of Dr. Deryk G. Jones, received extensive instruction and training in advanced arthroscopic techniques, cartilage restoration, hip arthroscopy, and minimally invasive joint replacement. He has treated athletes at the professional levels all the way to high school levels, specializing in hip arthroscopy. In Brazil's ISAKOS conference in 2011, Dr. Nawas presented his research on high tibial osteotomy and joint preservation. He remains board eligible from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
