Arthur Scott Walters, MD, works at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to his clinical practice as a neurologist specializing in sleep medicine, Dr. Walters is also a Professor of Neurology. An expert in restless legs syndrome and other neurological sleep disorders, he is co-editor of the first book on sleep-related movement disorders in 2003 and is author of over 200 research publications. Dr. Walters also served as the first chairman of the Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation Medical Advisory Board, and headed up the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's task force for the development  of clinical criteria for sleep-related movement disorders. He is also co-editor of Sleep Thief: The Restless Legs Syndrome, and Sleep and Movement Disorders: 1st and 2nd Editions.
