With a broad educational background, Dr. Chong earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Stanford University, graduating with Departmental Honors. He then went on to receive his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his internship at Winthrop University Hospital, now known as NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island. 

Subsequently, he completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Auburn Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, in June 2010, before completing his fellowship in musculoskeletal magnetic resonance imaging under the direction of Dr. John Crues, at Beverly Radiology Medical Group and RadNet, Inc. in Los Angeles, California.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

On a professional level, Dr. Chong is an active member of the American College of Radiology, the San Francisco Bay Radiological Society, the International Association of Radiologists, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of North America, the Alumni Association of New York Medical College, and the Stanford Alumni Association.
