Gunnar Sevelius, MD Emeritus, is a retired occupational medicine specialist from California. While working, he helped employees evaluate and treat their workplace injuries. He also served as a Medical Director for Lockheed Corporation, and was a Scientist for the Federal Aviation Agency in Oklahoma City for various research projects. Today, he is the author of a book, The Nine Pillars of History. He is also author of Add Years to Your Life and Life to Your Years, You Are It: First Aid, and An Untold Medical Story, all accessible through his blog online. The inspiration behind his writing is his study of history, anthropology, and his experiences with Sweden's healthcare.
